The 36th Annual Mililani Holiday Parade will be stepping off on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 9:00 AM from the Mililani High School's John Kauinana Stadium!  Here are some last minute tips to share with your group:

  • Drop off and Arrival:  There is no parking area for participants being dropped off.  Please encourage carpooling to minimize traffic along the routes to the MHS Stadium.  Road closures on Kipapa Drive are scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM.
  • Registration/check-in:  Registration/check-in is at the MHS John Kauinana Stadium from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM (map attached).  Someone from your organization MUST register before 8:30 AM - registration will be closed at 8:30 AM.  Included in this email is your CONFIRMATION and PARADE POSITION.  Bring a print or electronic version of the CONFIRMATION (attached) with you to register/check-in on the day of the Parade - Saturday morning, December 2, 2023.
  • Staging Areas:  Marchers will be staged at the MHS John Kauinana Stadium.  Vehicles will be staged along Kipapa Drive between the MHS John Kauinana Stadium and Hookelewaa St.  It is recommended that you drive your vehicles to the staging area on Kipapa Drive, facing the direction of the Parade – that way you will not have to turn your vehicle around.
  • Parking Restrictions and Road Closures:  "No Parking" signage will be placed along the parade route beginning Friday evening.  Road closures on the day of the Parade will begin at 8:00 AM (on Kipapa Drive at the MHS John Kauinana Stadium driveway and at Hookelewaa Street) and progress with the Parade.
  • Donate Canned Goods:  Participation in the Parade is FREE.  Instead, you are asked to donate a box of canned goods.  Your donations will be collected as you enter the stadium to register.  Alternative locations are at the Mililani Shopping Center and the Town Center of Mililani.  The Hawaii Foodbank will be sharing your donations with many families in need during the holidays.  The most needed items are:  canned protein such as tuna or chicken; prepared canned meals such as soup and pasta; canned fruit and vegetables; rice in two to five pound bags (Many of the recipients take public transportation and cannot carry large bags of rice.)
  • Appropriate Shoes and Clothing:  To maintain safety and a reasonable pace during the parade, we encourage all participants to wear safe and appropriate shoes and clothing.
  • Judges:  For those participating in the Contest, the Judges' Tent will be located at the Mililani Shopping Center, on Kipapa Drive by American Savings.  Winners will be announced before the end of the Parade.  Prizes will be awarded by the Mililani Lions at the Town Center of Mililani's Announcer's Tent between CPK and Cookie Corner.
  • Follow Instructions:  All participants are expected to follow the Safety Rules and Guidelines (attached).  The MHS Band Boosters will be checking you in and directing you to the staging areas.  Once the Parade begins, the Parade Marshals, Emergency Management Volunteers, and the HPD Officers will be providing additional directions - please follow those instructions for the safety of all Participants and Observers.
  • Stay for the Festivities:  Following the Parade, the Town Center of Mililani and the Mililani Shopping Center will be hosting holiday activities.  Please stay and enjoy the festivities!!

Let's all be safe while having fun together!!  Happy Holidays!!
